Framework

In business process modeling, a framework is any planned association among the models applied to meet a policy, design, or usability requirement. The framework may or may not be architecturally significant. Example: a value chain for a process, with overlays depicting aspects of performers, timing, and financial elements, and with event chains describing details of process steps.
